It was okay going back to work yesterday. Luckily I am still new in my current department, so I did not have any important work waiting for me, plus my teammates did my work during my two-week hiatus. I cleared almost all my emails, and only have a bit of work to be completed by today.

On the personal side, I have been hoping to get pregnant as soon as I got married. My period is due tomorrow and I can feel the stomach cramps slowly coming. A few pimples emerged last night as well. I am a bit sad to acknowledge that my period is definitely coming, and therefore I am not pregnant, but I still have that tiny bit of hope that I am pregnant, and I know that bit of hope will crush me when my period arrives. It is just hard to accept reality. I know it's normal to not get pregnant straight away, but I have been wanting a baby ever since my nephew was born five years ago.

Oh Allah, please give me strength.
